About us

Taallum is a platform for Qur’anic Arabic. Each day you work through a short lesson, verse and sentence word by word, with meanings and explanations in the language you choose, Turkish or English. The Qur’an text is shown exactly as its verified source publishes it; it is never written by AI.

Foundation (A1)
Letters, vowel marks, nominal sentence
Intermediate (A2)
Verb forms, idafa, everyday texts
Advanced (B1)
Unvowelled text, syntactic analysis
Word by word
Each word’s vowelled spelling sits beside its meaning in your language. Vowelled Arabic is never set so small that its last vowel mark cannot be read.
A lesson a day
New words, sentences and short exercises. The week’s rings and your streak count the days you study in your own time zone, and a missed day can be made up the same week.
Answers from a word bank
You never type an answer; you build it from word chips. As you go on, the same word appears with different endings, and choosing the right one is learning i‘rab.
The Muallim
Ask the AI teacher why an exercise works the way it does, and it answers in the context of that lesson. Your conversations and questions are never shown to your teacher.
Placement test
A short test sets where you start. You can skip it and begin at Lesson 1.
Teacher-led classes
Join your teacher’s class with the code they give you. What was covered in a live lesson opens on your phone for practice once you attended it or watched the recording.

How your week runs

There is no fixed day of the week: each day you move on to the next lesson, whichever day you started. Lessons come in chapters of seven.

  1. Teaching days

An explanation, 10 new words, 12 sentences, a short quiz and revision. You choose how many minutes to give it each day.

  2. The seventh lesson of each chapter

A review day. No new words; the chapter's 20 sentences bring back what you learned.

  3. After Lessons 14 and 28

A progress check, with sentences you have not seen before, shows where you stand.
